NAM Scholars in Diagnostic Excellence
The next call for applications will open in early January 2025.
Funded by the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation, this collaborative program in partnership with the Council of Medical Specialty Societies supports up to 10* scholars in a one-year, part-time remote experience to enhance the scholars’ knowledge and skills in diagnostic quality, safety, and equity and accelerate their career development in becoming national leaders in the field. Scholars build upon the work of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine consensus report Improving Diagnosis in Health Care (2015) and propose the implementation of projects that will advance equity, improve diagnosis, and reduce diagnostic errors at the national level. To learn more, visit the program website at: https://dxexscholars.nam.edu.
